1. Cannot record audio in APEUni website

• please use the latest Chrome browser to use our website, Download Chrome here
• check if your browser's microphone is turned on, by following this guide
• refresh the page by closing the tab and opening it again
• check if your computer's other recording software works
• check if audio recording works fine in Pearson's website: https://www.ptepractice.com/requirements

2. Voice breaks in audio recording

• this happens when your computer's CPU is fully loaded (you may use any system monitor tool or task manager to check your CPU usage. It is in best condition when its usage is below 50% when recording)
• please close all other apps and wait until APEUni's webpage is fully loaded when recording, or restarts your computer
• if the above steps still don't solve the problem, please try on another computer.
• Or you may also record voices in APEUni's Android or iOS APP

3. Cannot submit answer

• if it is an audio answer, check if the audio has any sound; a blank audio cannot be submitted
• try to switch your network to mobile 4G network
• check if the APEUni app is able to submit answer, download "PTE APEUni" app from here

4. Cannot check scores

• If it is an audio answer, check if the audio has any sound; a blank audio cannot be scored. This happens when your device system time is inaccurate, please correct your system time and timezone and refresh the page to record new audios. (Adjust TimeZone Setting: Windows Guide, Mac Guide)
• AI Scoring is not availabe in APEUni's Android version yet (will be available by June 2019), please use the website for now.
• in APEUni's website and iOS app, answer may be scored after submission
• make sure you have enough scoring coupons to score. You may upgrade your account to VIP to get unlimited scorings. Upgrading guide is here

5. Fix device's time or timezone

• This error occurs during audio answer submission or AI scoring.
• It happens because your device's time or timezone has been set incorrectly.
• To fix this, please correct your your system time and timezone and refresh the page to record new audios. (Adjust TimeZone Setting: Windows Guide, Mac Guide) However, sometimes, the system automatic timezone adjustment could also be wrong, please google your correct time and timezone.
• You may also try to set your time and timezone to China Beijing time (Check Current China Time); China's timezone is UTC+8

6. No more coupons

• each user is given 3 free writing coupons in total. It may have been used up in 3 question types SWT, SST, Essay
• each user is given 5 free speaking coupons per day, it can only be used in speaking questions (RA, RS, DI, RL, ASQ)
• make sure you have enough scoring coupons to score. You may upgrade your account to VIP to get unlimited scorings. Upgrading guide is here

7. Change language to English

• Only core features have been translated in APEUni's website and app, our team is working on translating more content
• English language can be configured in APEUni iOS & Android app in the bottom right page
• in APEUni's website, set your language by clicking the English button on the top right corner
